Dell PowerShare USB spec
Hi Dell support,
I'm trying to understand an issue observed with DellPowerShare USB ports. Issue happens when using this USB port to power a device that supports BC1.2 detection, according to tests performed the Dell USB host is taking VBUS down if enumeration doesn't happen within 1sec.
We don't see any problems when using the common USB ports on Latitude 7490. We have also tested this device with different BC 1.2 compatible USB HUBs and only DellPowerShare is showing this behavior.
We noticed that enumerating the USB device within 1sec can fix this issue, however we would like to understand why DellPowerShare USB port is taking USB VBUS down.
Is there a public spec for Dell PowerShare port? We are wondering if there is any requirements for USB products supporting USB BC 1.2 detection.
Thanks,
Breno Lima
