My 7710 has developed exactly the same issue, same place on the screen, dark band originating from the bottom left of the screen. Only difference is mine might be slightly lighter.
Faced the same problem in 2021 with a Precision 7710 laptop. I think this is a factory defect of a certain panel manufacturer. Yes, I also have an LG panel. I have a 7720 and it has a panel from Dell, it didn't do the same. I saw that there are 7710 laptops for sale on Ebay with the same blue stripe on the same left side of the screen.

I have replaced the faulty screen and found out the problem is encountered mostly (if not only) on LG displays. Since then I avoid them
