Dell XFR E6420
Ok I cant seem to find any info well some. So I thought I would ask
I have xfr e6420 with the I7 with touch screen and finger print scanner.
So far I have upgraded from 8gb ram to 16gb ram.
I am looking at wireless cards and found there is a AC wireless option that might work? I have the stock one right now.
And I am finding out you might even be able to upgrade the processor in the laptop as well?
Even the video card as well.
Was hoping for some inside and maybe what to buy or look for. Does not hurt to have a faster laptop

The wifi card I found was this one
intel 7260 ac wifi card
I already have a ssd 256gb i am upgrading to a 1Tb. Just working on a 3d printed caddy for it. My never came with it.
Already have windows 10 pro on it.
Maybe i will just leave the GPU and CPU alone. Might not be worth upgrading for the cost at least.

Probably on the wireless card, yes. This is old enough that you'll need a PCIe card - not the now common M.2 form factor.
On the CPU: you likely have, or have close to the fastest CPU this system will take. They're all second-generation dual core i7 dual core max. Even if there's a faster CPU than what you have, the difference will be so slight as to not be worth the cost or effort.
GPU: If you have Intel video, there IS a board that has nVidia graphics, but you'll need to find a board with that GPU. Since the numbers sold will be small, that may not be easy - and you'll still be bound to 2011-vintage graphics. The entire board must be replaced, along with an I/O board and heatsink -- and if you have a 65W AC adapter, you'll need 90W or more to power a system with a discrete GPU.
If you're still running a conventional hard drive, replace it with an SSD. That's the single most cost-effective upgrade you can make.
