DVD Player to Laptop
Latitude 5480/5488
Hello,
I am trying to connect my DVD player to my laptop screen. The output from the DVD player is HDMI. Is it possible to use the Latitude 5480/5488 HDMI port or c port to bring in the DVD player's broadcast?

You cannot output signal from your DVD player to your laptop via HDMI. Your laptop's HDMI port is for output only.
I'm not aware of a way to do it via HDMI-to-USB, either, other than by connecting intermediate hardware such as a video capture card.
If you want to play DVDs to your laptop, your easiest solution is via an external USB-connected DVD drive. Many are compact, lightweight and inexpensive.
