E5430 hinge and socket broken
Hi Team,
Hinge and socket broken at one side of my dell latitude e5430 laptop due to which the screen doesn't stay at its place.
- Do I need to replace the hinge or the body
- Where can I buy these items and at what price ?

You'll need to disassemble the system to see what's broken before ordering parts.
Try parts-people.com if you're in the US -- they tend to have most Dell parts available.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I'm residing in India. If you have any suggestions for part that will be very helpful.
Snapshot attached of the broken part. If you could check and let me know if you are able to determine the parts which I need to get without dismantling the laptop as it is in working condition right now.

It appears you'll need the back cover assembly (which comes with the hinges). It's not possible to determine whether or not the hinge mounts are damaged -- if they are, you'll also need the base assembly. Be prepared for a major undertaking if that is necessary, since the system will need to be completely disassembled and moved over to a new base unit.
