E5450 Replacement Battery
Hello, I recently got a Dell E5450 and I need a new battery for it. It currently has the 11.1v 38wh Battery in it and I was wondering if I could put the 7.4v 51wh battery in it as that is also for an E5450. I checked the service tag and this laptop came with the 38wh battery. Thanks.

If the other battery was intended for E5450, just use it.

I have the exact opposite problem, I have a 51Wh 7.4 V battery installed but is not working properly anymore so I want to replace it with a 38Wh 11.1 V that I bought. I don't know if it's possible or if it can damage the motherboard.

I just replaced a 51Wh 7.4 V battery with a 38Wh 11.1 V. Working fine so far. I will post if I have some problems but not sure what to look for/when. I ran a battery diagnostic which came out normal.
