E6420 Missing Driver
E6420. I have carried out a full reinstall of W7 Pro using the Dell OS Recovery Tool.
I have manually installed every relevant driver I can find on the Dell website and run the Dell Command Update repeatedly but Device Manager shows that the Universal Serial Bus Controller has no driver installed.
Is it possible that, since I initially did a manual driver install, it might be that I installed chipset drivers out of order? This is the only answer I can come up with, other than that the driver is simply missing from the Dell site.
Help with sorting this would be most welcome - unless it's to start again with the Windows reinstall!

This forum page may help. It has links to drivers that may be what you are looking for. It is possible that installing drivers out of order may have had some effect.

Thank you for the suggestion.
I located a copy of this driver and installed it, but unfortunately it hasn't worked.
Is there a method whereby it is possible to strip out all the drivers in order to reinstall them? Hopefully in the right order this time.
