E6420 ssd upgrade post clone will not boot - error 0xc000000e:
Hello, I am upgrading my E6420 HHD to SSD. WD Blue 3D NAND 500GB SSD. I called support and it is supported.
I upgraded my daughter's E6420 with no issues - SATA Operation was AHCI. I am using Acronis clone with Sabrent EC-SSD connector. No issues.
When I update my wife's E6420 which has SATA operation as RAID using the same process and same SSD, I get a boot error 0xc000000e.
Some forum posts say conflicting info. One say it is because I am missing an Intel driver for RAID. Another says try to fix with windows repair disk to build MBR.
Recommendations - please help.
If I don't get response, I will try it via norton ghost when I get my new HHD caddy in the mail.

Problem: When I cloned my HHD (SATA RAID) to SSD it does not work/boot.
Options Tried:
3.a. In fact one post said the new imaged SSD will not work if you simply switch the modes. Therefore, you must do a fresh install. (https://www.dell.com/community/Desktops-General-Read-Only/Dell-sets-Win-7-BIOS-to-RAID-not-AHCI-YOU-CAN-T-SWITCH/td-p/4492529)
3.b. An article by David Gregoroff, says the best performance is achieved when the system boots in AHCI mode (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/how-to-enable-ahci-for-ssd-in-windows-10/18ee0b43-47a9-4344-b0c8-1e8546be2c82).
Solution:
I could not wait any longer, so I took the path to install new Win10 OS on SSd, reinstall apps & data for laptops. (https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows10)
Here are my directions:
Back Up Data
Uninstall Software
Create Win10 OS Install Flash USB
INSTALL & SETUP/TEST
Restore
============
I hope this helps someone. Thanks Don
