E6440 - entry point error when installing drivers

Trying to reinstall Windows 7 pro 64bit on an E6440 that had a failed hard drive.  New SSD installed, original Windows 7 Pro DVD used to reinstall.  Installation went fine.  However, whenever I try to install any of the Dell drivers, I get the following error:

"The procedure entry point AddDllDirectory could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNAL32.dll"

I get this error no matter which driver I try - chipset, video, sata, network, whatever.  I can't get a single Dell driver to install.

Here's what I have tried so far.

1.  Wiped drive and reinstalled Windows from scratch.  Same result.

2. Downloaded SP1 from microsoft (from a working computer) and installed on the E6440.  Installed without a problem.  Still getting the entry point error.

3.  Tried running SFC /scannow.  Found no errors.

4.  Tried booting off Windows install DVD, then running SFC /scannow using the installation media for reference.  Found no errors.

5. Ran chkdsk /f.  Found no errors.

6. Ran Dell diagnostics that is built in to the BIOS.  Found no errors.

I've been working on computers for a long time and have not come across something like this.  Because I can't get any drivers to install, I can't get any internet on the E6440, so I can't run any of the Dell online diagnostics.  I'm out of ideas.

Does anyone have an idea?

Thanks

I found other way to install drivers from DELL, download the "Dell Command | Deploy XXXX Windows YY Driver Pack", is a CAB file with all drivers of the pc inside, you can unzip the file and inside you can find the drivers for all components of your pc. in my case was "Dell Command | Deploy OptiPlex 7010 Windows 7 Driver Pack". I hope it will be usefull.

@cmoranv This was the quickest and absolutely easiest way to install ethernet drivers on my e6420 xfr win 7 64bit sp1 fresh install

Thank you for this!

@Darbi Update to my previous post above, once I had my ethernet drivers installed, I would also run into the original error on another dell driver

So I ended up installing the security rollup update darbi provided here and now all drivers install properly without error
