Niloc, my experience may or may not be helpful. I helped my son install dual monitors on his Dell desktop and I installed dual monitors on my Lenovo and my son's wife Dell PC. We LOVE dual monitors. I have two 32" on my desktop and would like to get even larger. For this I'm considering large high-end TVs. If you want to go the TV route go to YouTube and search for "tv monitor". You can then view several excellent videos.

On my son's desktop > The PC had one HDMI port and some other video output. To utilize the 2nd output we had to order a "special" cable (about $50) to support it. If it had another HDMI port then the special cable would not be required. He went with 27" monitors.

On the daughter-in-law Dell laptop I had to order "USB C Docking Station Dual Monitor for Dell/HP/Lenovo/Surface Laptop, 14 in 1 Triple Display Hub Multiple Adapter, Dongle with 2 HDMI 4K+VGA+5 Port+100W PD Charger+Ethernet+SD/TF+Audio" from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09WDCH35N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1). BTW I had to order the same for my Lenovo laptop. It cost about $60. She also went with 27" monitors mainly because her work area is small.

Everyone is happy with the results. No issues were encountered with any of the systems.
