Hardware tools showing wrong battery capacity

My laptop is Dell E5420 with the following specs

Intel I7 2620m

8GB ddr3 ram with 128GB SSD

i replaced the 97whr battery that came with the laptop with a 60whr battery i brought from paytmmall. The product says it's genuine and offers 1 year manufacturing warranty. As soon as i inserted the new battery in my laptop , the HWInfo tool gives me a different information as if it's a 48whr battery. i just want to know whether i have brought a genuine product or not.

Battery Info

Below is my old and new battery in picture. the new battery is a 60whr and the old battery is a 97whr which died.

Battery Picture

The Part No is 0NH6K9 and SKU is CPA- NH6K9

The market for counterfeit laptop batteries is huge. You never know what you are going to get. Some work as advertised, most don't.

The only way to be sure you are getting a genuine Dell battery is to buy direct from Dell.

I would return the battery to the vendor and try to get a refund.

but is there any way to identify whether the battery is original or not?

I don't know of any foolproof way a consumer can determine that. Some counterfeiters are sloppy but most are very good at what they do. Some are known to procure discarded genuine Dell batteries for resale as new. Those batteries would be genuine but useless.
