When I turn on my laptop, the screen turns white and then goes off after some seconds. I'm using a dell latitude d630

I used it around 3am today. It was fine, I turned it off when the battery was at 6%

It doesn't stay powered on. It goes off even with the power adapter plugged in.

Does the laptop stay powered-on and the display just goes blank???
Have you tried to attach an external display???
Using a flashlight/torch at an angle can you see a faint image in the display???

Time to remove HDD, battery and CD/DVD.
Then try to power-on again.
Does it stay powered-on after this???
If not you will need to test the memory.
One slot under keyboard and one on bottom of laptop.

Thanks for your time. The issue was power. The voltage supplied was very low. I got to a place with good supply and it came on.
