How to update BIOS Latitude E5470

Hello,

I have the following issue: I can't update the BIOS on my laptop, Dell Latitude E5470. I've tried various suggestions found on the internet, unfortunately none worked: usual driver download and install, update from USB drive. I have to mention that I did a SSD drive change few months ago, I don't know if this influenced in some way the settings to allow this kind of update. So I would really appreciate if you can help with other advices that could help me in this problem.

Update from USB drive? Download in Windows and double-click on the EXE file to begin the process.

Do you know what BIOS version the laptop is currently running?

I think it’s 1.26 and i received the warning in the Dell Support tool that an update is available. I let the installation start and when i am requested to restart, laptop restarts but when it gets to the point of doing the actual update, it skips this step and goes to boot Windows without updating the bios. Thanks
