Some important notes with regards to upgrading the GPU, having just done it myself.
It does work.
But it is not as simple as just getting the new Graphics card, which are hard enough to get hold of anyway. You will also need a different heatsink and additional DGFF connectors. If you are getting a new machine, I would recommend getting the right GPU to start with unless they start officially supporting such an upgrade.
