Keyboard issue on Dell E5550

Question

I am facing keyboard issues with my Dell E5550 laptop. When I press the ‘S’ or ‘A’ key on the keyboard, it prints ‘SA’ or ‘AS’ together. Similarly, when I press the ‘Q’ or ‘W’ key on the keyboard, it prints ‘WQ’ or ‘QW’ together. Similar issues with 1 and 2 , Z and X keys.   So when I want to type : select * from oe_order_lines_all where header_id = 12345, the following is printed : aselect * from oe_order_lineas_asll qwhere hesaderas_id = 12345.   After typing once, I have to go through all the texts and delete unwanted keys.   Request you to please let me know if you have a solution.   We have already tried BIOS update, keyboard driver update, system restore options, language update. But nothing worked.

If an external USB keyboard will work properly, replace the internal key board with a new one.

I do not have an external keyboard but, when I try on-screen keyboard, it works correctly. So, I hope external keyboard will also work fine.

You can clean the keyboard with a keyboard brush -- but if that doesn't take care of it, you'll need to replace the keyboard.

I think a clean paintbrush would probably be better for this job.
