Laptop doesn't detect USB-C connected screen.

I'm tryin to connect screen using USB-C (thunderbolt 3) to my Latitude 5480. It works with HDMI, but when I want to use my adapter I get error before. What's interesting that laptop is able to recognize there is a second screen connected (ss below). Adapter works for my Mac (2017 with 4 TB3) (With exactly the same HDMI and screens (the one from screenshot and TV) and all devices work on my Dell when connected with HDMI without adapter. What might be wrong? What can I do to fix it?

@alienpawi  I've personally seen at least 5 cases on here where somebody had a USB-C to HDMI adapter, either a multi-purpose adapter like yours or a simple USB-C to HDMI dongle/cable, and they found that it worked with some source devices and not others.  In every case, the solution turned out to be to just try another brand of adapter/dongle/cable.  USB-C ports use DisplayPort for video natively, so USB-C to HDMI involves an active signal converter chip to switch that over to HDMI.  And it seems that those converter chips are subject to interoperability issues.  Obviously they should all work with source devices that support USB-C video output, as your system does, but it's also true that not everything that should work in the tech world always does.  Unfortunately this also means that I can't even recommend a specific equivalent product that is guaranteed to work.  I've had consistent success with Anker products for multi-purpose adapters like that though.  They have a variety of those based on what ports/capabilities you need.

Ahhh thanks. I will reach out to some friends and test their adapter. This is really strange issue. I will get back here to report if I had any luck.
