Laptop shutdowns automatically

Hello everyone, I use a Dell Latitude E7450 & I have been using this for a few years now and I have never faced any major issues. a few days back my laptop got shut down automatically without any prior warnings when I googled this issue many articles pointed out that the adapter may be the issue so I changed my charger and today when my system was plugged in charge it again shut down automatically then after few hours when it was unplugged the same thing happened it got shut down automatically. What should I do now? how serious is this issue?  thanks in advance.

It's balanced (the default setting).

Removing the battery and trying was a good idea, I have seen a laptop shutdown from a bad battery before. You might also try another AC adapter. Is the fan spinning? It isn't overheating is it? Reseat the RAM and accessory cards? Can you go into the BIOS and just sit there for a bit? If it shuts down there it's definitely a hardware issue, probably with the mainboard.
