Latitude 5400 SSD upgrade options

I have PCIe Solid-State Drive M.2 2230 SSD    PCIe Gen 3x2 NVMe 256 GB SSD currently on my Latitude 5400.

Looking for upgrade options to 1TB. What are my best options?

Can I use 2.5 inch SATA SSDs? If so, how as currently a cursory glance suggests not enought space or connection option.

Thanks.

Yes, besides 2.5" SATA SSD, your system can also support M.2 SATA or M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD.  See the storage specs below.  You can choose to upgrade with higher than maximum capacity noted.

Re:  How to install a hard drive?

Review service manual for the process https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/en-us/latitude-14-5400-laptop/latitude_5400_servicemanual/installing-hard-disk-drive?guid=guid-949efe4a-3f73-4942-9177-bdd7bd85aa27&lang=en-us

Search for compatible part number 0M9XKG to connect hard drive to Latitude 5400.

Should click on the part number, but here is the full link  https://www.deal4go.com/products/sata-hard-drive-cable-0m9xkg-m9xkg-dc02c00k000-for-dell-latitude-5400-5401-5402-5405

It's just for reference, you can search and purchase from your area, market.
