Latitude 5501storage capabilities - Need verification
I am a "semi-retired" IT nerd (quasi-professional, once upon a time', I guess...) helping a friend that has just brought me a "gently-used" Latitude 5501 with a 512 GB NVME already installed running Win11 (24H2) and she's asking me to install her 500GB 2.5" SATA SSD disk (containing all her photos) ALONGSIDE the NVME (for which I already see to have the SATA cable and caddy in my 'junk box'), but do my eyes deceive me or is it true what I've just read that this system can only support "either/or" the NVME OR a SATA SSD, but not both simultaneously...? Tell me it ain't so...!! Done similar stuff for a LOT of Dell laptops but arguably maybe not a Latitude 5501, so... I came here hoping to verify that what I hope is true and that the separate SATA port on the MB WILL allow both 'disks'.... INPUT please..!!

The system is either M.2 or 2.5" -- you cannot install both at the same time. If the owner wants to use the 2.5" drive, mount it in a 2.5" SATA to USB case and plug it externally by USB.

OR
In my case my router has a USB port, to act as a NAS, and I can access it from a smartphone and a laptop.
