Latitude 5520 MDT error on Storage Drivers

We are having issues Imaging new Latitude 5520s. (All other Dell models we use are working perfectly)

MDT.jpg

We have tried various storage drivers from Dell & Dell's WinPE pack. We have also tried Intel RST drivers direct from intel. Still cannot get past this error. Diskpart shows no drives at all.

Note: This is when storage is set to RAID ON mode in BIOS. If set to AHCI MDT works perfectly.

Any ideas?

I saw some other threads talking about issues with the Latitude xx20 during task sequences. My interest has been in the weird low resolution issues, where our UDI wizard boxes are being clobbered since it can't show the whole thing.

In the research though, I saw others mention disk issues. It sounds like the WinPE driver cabs were missing the RAID driver, but version A23 of that which came out a couple weeks ago has the correct one.

Alternatively you could switch from RAID to AHCI in the BIOS, which is something we've been doing for years anyway.

I haven't personally seen the issue with the disk since we're still trying to figure out the video problem, so it may be something else but I thought I'd toss that advice out there to hopefully get you on the right track.

Hello,

I'm getting the same error when I tried imaging our new Dell Latitude 5520. I tried to set the storage to RAID ON and AHCI but neither is working.

Have you found a solution to this issue? I grab my Driver Pack to this website (Latitude 5520 Windows 10 Driver Packs | Dell Canada) and also tried this driver pack (WinPE 10 driver pack | Dell Canada) but it's not working. I don't have any problems imaging my Dell Latitude 5580 and 5510.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

I had similar issues, updating the Windows ADK fixed it for me.
