Other threads have mentioned similar issues - something about the Dell driver CAB missing the necessary RAID drivers. I wasn't sure if that was just in the WinPE drivers (A23 apparently includes those now, so grab that and include the drivers in your boot WIM), or if that was in the full Windows 10 driver CAB.  If it was the full driver cab, I still only saw the A00 version, but I thought I saw the iastor drivers were present in there so I think it would be okay?

We switch our models to AHCI since there's just no benefit to using the RAID mode. We actually do that in a task sequence section that switches to AHCI before it tries wiping/formatting the drive so we didn't get stuck there. We're stuck on the issue where the new models have a weird video resolution when PXE booting.

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

Hi Josh, Did you get anywhere with this? We are experiencing the same symptoms.

I ended up switching mine to AHCI mode as well and that did the trick

FYI, we had a call with Dell support today primarily about the weird video resolution during PXE boot. I also brought up the reports of RAID driver problems, and they provided this link with a workaround:

We're having this issue still even after updating to the latest Driver pack.

Any request for support is promptly shutdown and I'm refused help. In the last 2 years, we've purchase hundreds of Dell laptops and desktops, and this is the service we are given when Dell makes a mistake?

We may need to look back at our decision to choose Dell products and go with someone else.

Hello,

I try to install a fresh windows 10, and i have the same issues.

I found an another solution, I inject the good driver into install.

iastorvd.inf_amd64_d18e888d9967df1e

RST VMD Controller Miniport + RST Filter Driver

"Intel RST VMD Controller 9A0B"
"Intel RST VMD Managed Controller 09AB"

And now i can see the storage

I was using  fresh build from Microsft Volume Licensing (Win10) and was seeing this issue.  Switched to AHCI also away from RAID and immeditately solved my problem.
Thanks Josh

I used the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver and Application. The driver folder after extraction is Delldrivers\delllatitude\15063\Drivers\Drivers\VMD\iaStorVD.inf - it worked great 1st time for the RAID storage setup.
