Latitude 5580
Hey, New to the Dell world.
I just purchased a used Dell Latitude 5580 .
Currently my keyboard does not have the back light image at F ten.
When using the F ten key no back light appears.
Does this mean that i do not have back light capabilities or that its disable.
Do all models of the Latitude 5580 have back light or was it an option.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If there is no backlight icon on any of your function keys, then you do not have a backlit keyboard.
Backlit keyboards are optional on many Dell laptops, so if the original purchaser does not pay for the backlit option then the laptop would ship with a standard non-backlit keyboard. Having said that, Dell's specifications for your laptop do not indicate that a backlit keyboard was even available for that model.
