Latitude 5590 led not working properly

Latitude 5590

Latitude 5590

Hi to all, I bought a pre-owned latitude 5590. It works well except for the frontal led ("Battery charge status light" as in the manual).

When the laptop is suspended, it doesn't do anything. It is just off. It only works while charging on AC, being always on.

This is not a big deal, but I have no information about the pc status when the lid is down. So I can forget to turn off the pc and the battery slowly drop to zero.

I just replaced the keyboard with a new one and installed a second RAM module.

I upgraded to the last bios firmware through the dell tools and also installed all the recommended upgrades.

This happens both within Windows and Linux Fedora OS.
I read elsewhere a similar issue but, I can't find it anymore. Is this a known problem? Could I somehow fix it?
Thanks in advance.

My bad. I read in the owner's manual.

System diagnostic lights

Battery-status light

Indicates the power and battery-charge status.

Solid white—Power adapter is connected and the battery has more than 5 percent charge.

Amber—Computer is running on battery and the battery has less than 5 percent charge.

Off

     - Power adapter is connected, and the battery is fully charged.
     - Computer is running on battery, and the battery has more than 5 percent charge.
    - Computer is in sleep state, hibernation, or turned off.

So I guess It works as expected although I find It was an useful feature to have a visual notification on sleep state.
No way to get this?
