No, this system does not support PCIe 4 speeds.

Yes, heat could be an issue as the faster drives run quite a bit hotter.

You're probably better off with a standard PCIe 3X4 drive -- they're quite a bit less expensive and the PCIe4 added cost produces no benefit.

Keep the original drive for warranty purposes (and were it necessary to return the system for repair, DO NOT send the system with the upgraded drive in it).

Otherwise, the warranty will be unaffected.

I looked in the manual for the Service Tag and it says up to Gen4. But in the storage section it says Interface type : Gen 3 PCIe x4 NVMe .

A bit confusing ...

Hi dellfella, did you manage to upgrade you ssd??

I want upgrade to 2tb but reading mix advice on whether rit can be done.

I have latitude 7320 also i5 11th gen
