Latitude 7490 and thunderbolt controller

Latitude 7490

Latitude 7490

I paired my Latitude 7490 with D6000 supporting 3 monitors. In the Win11 Pro display setting I disabled the laptop screen. 50% of the time it works fine except half the time the monitors flicker on/off. Both D6000 and the Latitude are upto date with firmwares and drivers. I tried trouble shooting and found a screenshot in this forum for 7490 BIOS page showing Thunderbolt Adapter Configuration. This setting is missing/not there under my BIOS.

So stupid question, does it mean my 7490 don't have the thunderbird 3 controller at all?

Correct, you do not have the optional Thunderbolt port.

@ejn63 Thanks that would be a logical conclusion. One thing I do not get is how I could use the D6000 dock and works well 50% of the time without flickering. All other ports on D6000 works like 3.5mm audio, LAN and all USB 3 ports. Would have thought if mine don't have thunderbird controller, then the D6000 won't work at all.
