So, I got the cursed black screen of death. I was about to hop on my laptop when it froze. I did a force shut down and booted it back up. Everything was fine, I saw the Dell sign and the Windows, suddenly it said something wasn’t right so the laptop restarted. Same thing, Dell and Windows popped up on screen then under the Windows it said it would do and automatic repair? I’ve never seen this before.

After that for a minute, I got a black screen with my cursor on it. I’m able to move my cursor but that’s it. I’ve tried a few things but nothing seems to work.

please send help! I’m a broke college student and can’t afford a new laptop just yet!

Try running Dell Diagnostics at startup.

I suspect that your hard drive died.
