Latiude E7250 touch pad freezes

Hi,

I have a Latiude e7250 with a new Windows 10 installation, where the touch pad freezes after short usage (the cursor does not move after a few seconds). It works again after lifting the finger from the pad, but this gets very annoying while working. Otherwise the pad and keys seem to work fine. Also using a USB mouse does not produce this problem.

I found this thread with a similar problem:

https://www.dell.com/community/Latitude/Dell-Latitude-E5470-touchpad-lags-freezes-pauses-issues/m-p/6108926/highlight/true#M4619

Turning off the gestures or turning the touch pad off and on again in BIOS like suggested there does not work.

I also tried downloading the latest touch pad drivers from the DELL site, which did not help. The other thread also mentioned the 'Intel HID Event Filter' driver, but I couldn't find a version compatible with my model.

Do you have any other ideas what could help?

Sort of. It was "resolved" by returning the Laptop to the vendor and getting an HP Laptop instead...
