Missing tabs under Sound Settings for refurbished Latitude 3420
Greetings.
I need to disable all speaker enhancements and mic AGC on a recently purchased refurbished Latitude 3420 with Windows 11 for a specific app. I am unable to do so because the Enhancements tab (for playback) and Custom tab (for recording) under Sound Settings are missing.
I went to Device Manager and cannot find any High Definition Audio device under Sound, video and game controllers. What I have is the Realtek(R) Audio. I tried to update the driver to Realtek (R) High Definition Audio (browse my computer for drivers > pick from list of available drivers on my computer > show compatible hardware) but High Definition Audio Device was not an option.
I then went to the Official Dell Tech Support website and download the latest version of Realtek High Definition Audio Driver (25-Feb-2025 release date) and installed on the laptop. Went thru two restarts as called for and the problem persisted.
Next I started a session with Virtual Assistant and after explaining the problem, was advised that for $99, the laptop may be serviced (since no longer under warranty for refurbished device) by reformatting the hard drive. If this is indeed the only solution, I can certainly reformat the hard drive personally.
My question is whether there is something else I should check on, remove, install, etc. before I go that route.

@ejn63 Appreciate your comment. Yes, that's the driver I used and the problem persists, after trying twice

Re: I went to Device Manager and cannot find any High Definition Audio device under Sound, video and game controllers. What I have is the Realtek(R) Audio.
The integrated audio controller will be called High Definition Audio device if using Microsoft generic audio driver. It would changed to Realtek(R) Audio once the Realtek Audio driver being installed.
To disable audio enhancements, go to All (programs) or system tray and run Waves MaxxAudio Pro application. Select Playback and turn off the blue button to disable enhancements.
