Monitor Headache

Hello,

Recently I've purchased a Latitude 520 Laptop and after only a few minutes using the computer, I start to get bad headaches.  I've purchased an Inspiron 6000 last year and do not experience any headaches.

Question is has anybody else had experiences where some monitors cause sever headaches and other computers are fine? And why would this be happening?

I've tried to do some research on Video drivers, refresh rate of monitors, etc, but I still don't have a reason why this could be happening.  Would be good to know exactly what type of monitor/computer to purchase.

Regards,

Peter

Hey Peter,

I've experienced similar issues with an older Nec crt monitor. I first thought it was my eyesight, and consulted a specialist, but it turns out that the combination of high contrast and unclear text/washed out picure made me overfocus on the monitor (eye strain=heahaches). But on top of that this was of course a crt, with flickering and all that, which is known to cause headaches. I've noticed no difference in eye strain on my two latest lcd's related to changes in any frefresh rates.
Hope this helps :)

PS: I always use 60hz...
