Problem with new docking station SD25TB4
We are using several "Dell Pro Thunderbolt 4 Smart Dock – SD25TB4". We like the numerous ports and the 2.5 Gbit network connection.
But we have problems if we use them with laptops which have only Thunderbolt 3 and no Thunderbolt 4. Then USB and network works fine, but the monitors don´t show anything.
We have the problems with Latitude 7480 and Latitude 5591. The BIOS and driver of the laptops and the firmware of the docking station are the latest versions.

Based on the March 2025, "Dell Pro Docks Compatibility Guide", those two older Latitude are not listed as compatible with the new Dell Pro Docks.
To receive assistance from Dell chat support, they need to verify the warranty status and ownership. Then you must troubleshoot with them. Click the "Get Help Now" icon on the right to start a live chat session. If already out of warranty, click here for the Dell out of warranty offering.

@DELL-Jesse L I was having similar issues with this docking station and my laptop is listed as compatible (Latitude 7450). I did notice that when plugging in Extra USB HUB or USB charging cable would cause some issue as well. Some of the issue I've notice, I would have this disconnect and reconnect pinging noise on a loop. Also, the monitor is showing black, but laptop is viewable or it cause the laptop to stay frozen on the dell bootup logo during start up. But once I unplug those USB HUB or USB charging cable it will work normal.

@DELL-Jesse L Latitude 7440 is compatible. I am having issues with this docking station. Freeze when booting up or when it does get pass the boot up it slow to open up any app and slow to load any website. Also, not displaying to monitor when plugging in two monitors with usb c and DisplayPort cable. When I switch usb c port it will work sometimes but will have the freeze and slow issue. But, DisplayPort both will not output image to monitor.
When I unplug it from the docking station I have none of these issue. When this docking station works it would work. But, now it is not working it so random.
