Realtek USB GBE / FE

My USB-C docking station supports 1000mbs (AKA GBE), but when connected to my Dell 5406 the driver shows up as Realtek USB FE Family Controller, meaning 100mbs.
I ran SupportAssist hardware test, and came up with this strange result (see picture). For the Realtek USB FE Family Controller, the test results shown refer a fingerprint reader. Screenshot of teh test results for bothe devices attached.
Could this give a hint to the cause of the device

not properly recognized?
