Replacing GPU on latitude 5490

is it possible to replace the intel GPU that is currently installed in my laptop with an Invidia GPU?

Only by replacing the entire system board, including the CPU. You'll also need a new heatsink assembly and possibly a higher capacity AC adapter (90W minimum, better 130W).

You will need at least the board and heatsink assembly, and if you now have a 65W AC adapter, you'll need a 90W or better adapter as well.
Compare the cost of a complete system to the parts cost -- the total value of a used 5490 with it is in the $150 range, complete and working.
