Definitely an issue with the LCD screen. Lcds are built in a grid pattern so the vertical line was a giveaway. The tiny dots you see are dead pixels. Best case scenario it stays like this. It may get worse but if you replace the screen you won't see any issues. I recommended replacing the screen because they are realaticely cheap and likelyhood you receive the same failure is slim to none.

Can you post a picture? If it looks like liquid bubbles then the screen needs to be replaced.
