The specs for your laptop state Mobile Broadband card as "Intel XMM 7360 Global LTE-Advanced". However, I cannot tell if that was optional. Such cards are optional on many Dell laptops. If you don't have the card, then you may not have the required antennas either, so check.

The SIM card is only part of the hardware you'll need.  You also need a PCIe M.2 WWAN card that's supported by your wireless carrier, which in turn needs antenna leads that are generally only built into the system if it's ordered with WWAN.

Check for the antenna leads and WWAN card before proceeding.  If the antenna leads are not present, they cannot easily or economically be retrofitted (generally, you'll need to replace the display assembly).

If the leads are there, contact your wireless provider to find out what cards they support before buying.

In the absence of the antenna leads, a USB WWAN adapter is the way to go.
