SQUEAKING HINGE . Hinge making sound when open/close/move the screen.
Latitude 5531
When I open/close/move the screen, the hinge is making squeaking sound. There is no physical damage on the outer part but I'm not sure about the inner part. Please help. It could lead to a future failure or damage.

If your screen moved while opening the laptop, it must have sustained some damage internally. To get warranty support from Dell, click on Get Help Now button at lower right corner of this screen.
For community input, just like you, no one would know about the condition of your laptop inner part. To relieve further stress to the hinge, you may want to apply a couple drops of sewing machine oil to each hinge assembly. It would also help to open the laptop from the center edge, where the camera is located instead of opening from lid corner.

I contacted Dell Technical Support, sent the video, images as they requested. They said unfortunately this issue isn't covered since it is working as designed and no performance issue with the system.
Did they design the hinge to make that sound too?
I want it gone.
