Please enter setup for memory information details System Halted!' and Escape , And Ctrl alt del , Won't work, The system has completely shut it self down

UPDATE: Stop code: DRIVER OVERRAN STACK BUFFER

I couldn't get the second code that it said I will try to get it

Try re-seating your RAM modules. Remember to practice good ESD precaution.

I had similar problem with my E5570. Only way to solve this problem is to fully reinstal your laptop, after instalation, imidiately disable windows update and instaling drivers only with device manager. No dell support assist or dell drivers. They are somehow broken now.

I know, this sounds very weird but it woked for me. If you want, you can try it.

Hi Keason,

You can run the hardware diagnostic to check if there are any hardware failure.

To run diagnostics, restart the computer, as the computer boots, start tapping < F12 > When the Boot menu appears, highlight the Diagnostics option and then press < Enter > to start the Diagnostics. If you get any error code and validation code share it through PM.

Alternately if there are no errors, you can check if there are any pending Windows updates. If none of the above steps help you can perform data back up and clean reinstall the operating system.

Hello!

So I also just ran into this problem and found a solution that may help you.

I had the same problem as you, and was also offered the same prompt. I remember the specific line of "enter setup for memory configuration," and it dawned on my that the memory configuration for my workstation is not like a store bought tower.

After drawing up the memory configuration schematic from Dell, I found that my 7820 tower needs another 16GB ram to boot properly, because it is running dual CPU's. After my 'duh' moment, I ordered a duplicate set of RAM, I installed all 4 sticks and boom, my PC was properly able to boot.

Look for your memory config from Dell. Make sure you have the proper RAM, but also remember you have the proper amount of RAM that it calls for.....each slot on my board could only take 8gb sticks.

Hope this helps, albeit quite late.
