Touch screen to normal screen

Hi

I haave a Latitude E7240 Touch. As the screen needs to be replaced, I was wondering if it is possible to replace the original with a normal LCD like the one used in the normal E7240. Any tips/suggestions would me much appreciated.

Yes, it is. However, you'll need to replace the entire upper assembly - frame/bezel, back cover, hinges and wiring harness -- to do so.

The hardware from a touchscreen is different than that from a conventional screen.

Thanks for your reply. Do you know if there is a kit i can buy with the lcd in order to replace it or do i need to shop item by item?
