Question

Dell Latitude E6540 Win 10 Pro version 1909. Is there an option to upgrade hardware graphics? If so what would I need and how could I go about it. See the following. Have encountered a problem with playing video transferred from Android v 7 phone. File is MP4 (Video) but whilst it plays on the phone it will not open on the laptop using Win Media Player or Win Movie Maker or Win Films & TV app and Photo app (some solutions suggest using the Photo app). When running the Video troubleshooter it advises the system does not support Hardware Digital Rights Management (HWDRM). From Microsoft it advised for Win 10 Hardware DRM the PC requirement is any of the following; NVIDA GeForce 1000 series or higher AMD Raedon RX 400 series or higher Intel UHD Graphics 600 or higher (Kaby Lake 7th Gen or later) Currently installed (I think) are; Intel HD Graphics 4600 (device ID 1046) AMD Raedon HD 8790M (device ID 26118). There is no way to upgrade the GPU on this system, but it's not the GPU that's the issue here.

Try using the VLC Media Player -- see if that will play the files.
