I'd also like to see a 64bit release from Dell given the predominance of 64-bit processors, we should be taking advantage of that extra computing power. With M$ jumping onboard the 64-bit train, there is no reason not to move that way...
I too would be extremely interested in a 64bit remastered hardy for the 1420n.......I realize that you guys at dell probably don't ship 64 bit ubuntu in any of your preinstalled ubuntu machines because various dependency and dirver issues are like 20 times as more likely for 64 bit linux regardless of the hardware (that being due to the community and computer software industry still transitioning to this new standard in home pcs), but by putting the extra work to provide custom 64 bit installations for your hardware you will certainly increase the satisfaction of your new linux customers and attract new users to linux, which would surely increase your sales sinc you are the only major computer manufacturer that is offering linux......anyway I digress.....A remastered 64 bit hardy would be apreciated....I actually have 64 bit hardy running on it right now, and it installed fairly perfectly...however there are a few kernel problems that you guys could fix that would be great
