BIOS Not Recognizing Any UEFI Disk

Hello, I have an Inspiron 15R that is refusing to recognize any UEFI CDs/USBs/DVDs (not even the Windows 8 installation CD!) It does however recognize my Ubuntu UEFI install? I can not access Windows since I have erased that and now I am stuck with just Ubuntu. I have attempted to manually add a boot entry with both the BIOS Setup and the CLI utility: 'efibootmgr', I have tried many UEFI USBs and CDs but none work so I assume it is not an issue with my CDs or USBs. I have no idea what to try next... Thanks is advance to anyone that can help.

Check that the UEFI mode is enabled (that is, that the legacy mode is not enabled). If the UEFI mode is enabled, try to disable SecureBoot (but don´t disable the UEFI mode).
