can't read DVDs - SuSE 8.2
SuSE 8.2 is installed and running (mostly) well on this Inspiron 1100.
The current is that I can't get DVDs to be recognized or played. The DVD drive is a QSI CDRW/DVD SBW-242. CD write and read both work.
I'd appreciate help getting the DVD playback to work also.

hi
download the rpms here, believe you will need 4 of em. also, when you install them, use yast and not the terminal. got xine to run in 20 minutes using the rpms shown on the provided link.
