Can't find SCSI driver?!!

I'm trying to install Fedora 8 on a brand spanking new Inspiron 530. Anaconda can't find the hard drive and therefore doesn't know what to do. It's a Seagate ATA ST3250310AS. I've installed Linux on numerous systems over about a decade and never had anything as funky as this. I'm going to see if Ubuntu has a similar issue, but any help or suggestions in the meantime would be great. Many thanks!

Some of the newer SATA hardware can be problematic due to the overlap of IDE and SCSI drivers. The Insiron 530 has RAID as well. One other person found that enabling built-in RAID in the BIOS SATA settings helped: http://linux.derkeiler.com/Mailing-Lists/Fedora/2007-11/msg01305.html
