Dell Linux Laptop Ordering Experience Needs Fixed
Hello,
For the XPS laptops, which are excellent by the way, I'd like to point out how terrible it is to order with Linux - for whatever reason, the base XPS 13 isn't even listed on dell.com/linux anymore, and for the XPS 13 Plus, selecting configuration options changes Ubuntu back to Windows. I shouldn't have to fight with your order page to configure a system. Sure, some configs might be out of stock -- fine. Please let us backorder them. I shouldn't have to guess and check if I can order it with Linux at a certain configuration. Let's not pretend the config is incompatible. Why can't I select the best i7 and 32GB of RAM on a Linux machine? Please fix this. I'd also love to see the XPS 13 added to this page, and Ubuntu become an option on the XPS 15 and XPS 17. I currently have a Precision 5540, but the XPS line is far more affordable and I'd love to buy one of those devices with Linux pre-installed and supported. (I've had great experiences with ProSupport Plus, and try to buy it every time for my machines).
