Dimension 8100 -- problems with USB keyboard and GRUB

Hello Everyone,

I just dual booted my machine between Redhat 9.0 and Windows XP.  Everything seems to be working great, except for GRUB, which won't allow me to use my USB keyboard to select my operating system.  I am sure the keyboard is working fine because I am using it to type this message.  It works prior to the GRUB screen (entering the BIOS, etc.), and immediately afterwards (in Windows XP).

Any suggestions?  I am pretty frustrated...

THANKS!!!!

Best Regards,

Ted

P.S. I have to use a USB keyboard because I would eventually like to hook it up to a KVM switch I own.  I am sure the KVM switch and keyboard work with GRUB because I have used them previously on an Inspiron 5100 dual-boot.

Within the BIOS, enter the Integrated Devices category and change USB Emulation to On. Then, after saving your changes and rebooting, ensure the keyboard is connected to one of the primary USB ports, located adjacent to the NIC connector (rather than directly beneath it). The keyboard should now function after POST, but before an operating system has initialized the USB root hub.
