how to check?

I am buying a Dell Inspiron 1420 laptop with 2.2GHz clock speed, 800FSB, 4MB L2 cache T7500 processor, Intel 965 chipset, 2GB DDR2 RAM, 120GB hard disk @ 7200 rpm, NVIDIA 8400 video card etc. How do I know what I have got is the same as what I have ordered for? I mean, how do I ckeck the above specs in the delivered laptop? I am planning to have a dual boot (Vista home premium and fedora core 7). How should I check either in windows or/and Linux? Thanks in advance.
