Install disk/factory image 15 M Inspiron 3000 series
Can anyone advise where I can obtain a factory restore image for a dell 15 M Inspiron 3000 series laptop?
The installed system as purchased was Ubuntu 14.04 lts
The technical folk have told me that they can't supply a disc. This can't be correct? I created a recovery disk but when I use it I get a warning that the disk has been corrupted. As has the pre-installed software.
Tech support advised downloading a stock Ubuntu from the Ubuntu site, I did so but now notice that there are no graphics card drivers available. The Ubuntu onboard will have been optimised for this machine.
Any help would be great.
Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me.
However the operating system installed is not a Microsoft product so your reply is innappropriate.
So the question remains...can i have the restore disk? The operating system is 'free' but i understand it has been optimsed specifically for the type of machine that I have.
Dell have and may still do supply restore disks for Ubuntu on other dell laptops.
Can you oblige, please?
Regards,
Hugh.
