Install Ubuntu on a Windows pre-installed M3800
Hi all,
Today I received my m3800. Although I plan to use it mainly with Ubuntu, I decided to buy it with Windows, such that I can legally use Windows in the rare occasions that I need it.
Unfortunately, I can nowhere find the official Dell drivers or install images for it... However, this was one of the main reasons for me to buy it in the first place.
Apparently, the ones with Ubuntu pre-installed are delivered with some recovery usb creator tool. Is there any way I can get the image that is on that USB, such that I can create my own? That would be very much appreciated!
Alternatively I am also fine if someone can point me to the repositories I need to add together with the packages that I should install.
Best,
Koen

FWIW: I installed a plain vanilla Ubuntustudio 14.04.2 on my m3800. You might wish to retain the Windows restore partitions.
After booting, run the "additional drivers" utility to get Nvidia drivers.

I would also be very interested in seeing an official ISO for the M3800.
After looking into this a bit it seems like the fixes made by Dell (at least for the XPS 13) have been incoorporated into the standard Ubuntu kernels, but I'm not sure if the M3800-specific fixes have been. Check out this Sputnik Kernel PPA for more information.

On a vanilla 14.04.2 install (augmented with proprietary nvidia drivers), I still don't think the system is fully working as it should. That's why I am interested in the official drivers. When I run sudo lshw, there are a few devices unclaimed, which I belief means that not all hardware is running properly/ to its fullest. The unclaimed ones are below:
