I have purchased from Dell, Windows 8.1 OEM software.

There are data logs I need and the software only runs in a Windows environment. Is it possible to use Kubuntu as the host in a VM, and then run Windows 8.1 to get the data logs ?

The VM I'm considering is Oracle VM Virtual Box (  see https://www.virtualbox.org/ ).

Can I legally use the Windows 8.1 in a VM environment ?
