I'm no familiar with Red Hat, but most distributions use opensources driver as default. It is called "nv" in your xorg.conf (located in /etc/X11/xorg.conf). I have never had a good resolution with this driver. Open the terminal and login as root (using su or sudo) and type lsmod.Try to find there "nvidia" in the first column and if you can't, you are probably using nv driver. You can also check this in your xorg.conf in Device section. In that case you have to install nvidia driver. I don't know how to do that in Red Hat, but I hope that this link will help you: NVIDIA drivers with Red Hat Linux/Fedora Core
