M6500: RHEL6: My internal microphone doesn't work.
Hi guys!
I've just received my M6500 with RHEL preinstalled. And my internal microphone does not work. This is very annoying.
How can I solve it?

PS: It seems that the issue is solved in Ubuntu 11.04, see: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/519066
PS: I had the same issue using the preinstalled RHEL5.x (from factory) in my M6500!?!?
PS: Because of my subscription, RedHat told me to talk with DELL. I've sent an issue to the DELL support, but at this time, I have not received any news...

Ok, here is the solution:
Add the following line "options snd-hda-intel model=dell-s14" to "/etc/modprobe.d/dist-alsa.conf" and reboot.
